(P)laid back: everyday plaid shirt and riding boots outfit for college / uni / school



Hello my beautiful readers!

Today I have a - drumroll please - fashion post for you, yaay!
I love fashion and styling clothes, trying out new things etc. but I´m by all means no  fashion blogger. I guess that´s because I don´t take fashion that serious!

I enjoy it, I spent almost half on my income on clothes - the other one goes straight to my local drugstore or beauty department - but as I don´t have that many formal events to attend, my everyday wardrobe could be described as a very simple one.

Of course my friends would argue that wearing dresses and skirts to uni is not your typical "simple" wardrobe but I guess this outfit is a "simple" one.





This is one of the looks I  wear to uni if I forget to put together an outfit for the next day, so you could call it my go-to look!

Simple button up plaid shirt (H&M, similar here), you can´t actually see but I´m wearing a high waisted, skinny jeans (H&M as well, get them here)  and my Bullboxer (find them here, similar here) leather boots which I love to death. My outfit is being topped off with a DKNY watch (here) and completed with a smile (best trend ever, I´m telling you, you should try it!).
My nailpolish is from Sally Hansen and for my red lips I used my Revlon Lipbutter in 035 Candy Apple!

So it´s really nothing special but I think the colors make it very wintery and fancy looking.



Huge thanks to my BB (which stands for beautiful boyfriend of course xD) for taking me to this beautiful place on a Saturday morning and taking the nicest pictures ever.

My current skincare routine!


Hello my beautiful readers,

today I wanted to post a more beauty-related blogpost and since I love to talk about skincare I thought I would show you what I´ve been using for the last couple of weeks.

My skin is more on the oily side and the only thing I´ve been struggling with are blackheads. Which is connected to my oily skin. I like to use kind of harsh products on my skin because a lot of times when I use "gentle" products I have the feeling that they don´t really work for me.

I´ve never been that kind of girl that takes off her makeup with makeup remover wipes. I love using face cleansers that get rid of all the extra oil that´s on my skin - I always used an eye makeup remover though!! - , but as I did the Cotton-Pad-Test I realized that a face cleanser and water is not enough to take off your makeup.
So a couple of months ago I started using the Bebe Young Care makeup remover wipes for normal skin that everyone raves about on the internet - at least all the German youtubers do! - and I love them. For makeup remover wipes they´re quite thick which I love about them and they´re also very good at removing eye makeup. It does burn a little bit when you try to remove your eye makeup, but as I use very longlasting-pain-in-the-butt mascaras this is a pre-removing-phase for me ( I know I´ve been supercreative today, making up my own words xD).

After taking off my face makeup I take a cotton pad and put some of the Nivea Soft face cream (!!) on it, press it on my close eyelid until everything is gone. This tip I got from a friend of mine so I tried it and I like it a lot. I´ve tried almost every single eye makeup remover there is and I´m not happy with any of them so I thought I´d give this a shot. And it works! It does not hurt my eyes but I have to be careful that the cream does not really touch my eyes. Sometimes I add a little bit of Bioderma and this makes the eye makeup go away even faster.

Then I wash my face with the Tea Tree Cool & Creamy Wash from The Body Shop. For superoily skin I´d always recommend face washes that feel soapy and light or foamy ones because they mattify your skin more than gel or creamy cleansers. But my skin isn´t as oily as it used to be - thanks to my Olaz Regenerist - so this creamy cleanser is great for my skin right now! The tea tree oil in it is very refreshing and this creamy consistency gives my skin the right amount of moisture I need.
On and off I use a face mask from the same skincare line which is very refreshing too and also cleans my skin deeply - and smells great if you like the scent of tea tree oil!

After that I put on my face cream for oily skin from Garnier Skin Naturals. My whole family uses this cream and we love it! It is in a gel form which is great for oily skin and it is also very light and sinks into the skin very quickly which makes it a great base for your makeup.

Under my eyes I use the Estée Lauder Advanced Night Repair Eye which I got for my birthday a while ago. This is only in a sample size but I´ve been using it for months and I still have a lot of it left. It is a nice eye cream, I love that it is light but still very moisturizing. But I will probably not repurchase it when it´s empty because it is very expensive and I really want to find a cheaper alternative!

Last but not least I use the Neutrogena Visibly Clear Anti-Blackhead toner. You´ll probably be thinking: why the heck do you need a toner after using all this stuff?. I don´t need it and I don´t use it after my beauty routine. What I use this for is to clean my face before I put on my makeup. In the morning I only wash my face with water and put on my makeup on the washed face but when I don´t put on my makeup in the morning after washing my face, I clean my face with the toner right before putting on my makeup. This is good for sanitizing and mattifying your face because the toner contains alcohol - which is not good for dry skin because it dries it out even more!

How to keep up with your new year´s resolutions!



Hello my lovely readers,

I know it´s been a long time since I actually posted something on here. But this year I wanted to give my blog a second chance and try to motivate myself to write a little bit more.

So today I´m here to give you tips on how to keep up with your new year´s resolutions!
When it comes to new year´s resolutions everybody gets very excited creating humongous lists of goals they would like to acheive by the end of the new year.
This feeling that you get when creating this list, feeling powerful, motivated like you could create anything is amazing, I must admit. But as the list I created this year was not my first one, I know how easily this feeling fades! Then it is being replaced by laziness followed by disappointment. So how can you change that? How can you actually tick off every resolution on your list?

First off you have to start right. Think about what you would like to do differently this year and what you would like to continue doing like you did in the past. There were quite a few times I wrote goals on my list I wasn´t a hundred percent sure I wanted to acheive. So before writing everything down make sure this is what you really WANT to do.

Don´t be too general! When writing down your goals for the new year be specific about how you want to acheive them! For example if you want to get in shape write down exactly how many times you want to work out per week.

Be realistic! Being specific with your goals helps with that a lot because if you can´t really figure out how to acheive a goal than maybe it is not acheivable for you and it should be rephrased! Set goals you can actually acheive in the following year and don´t be too hard on yourself. Ticking off something small on your list will feel much better than the disappointing feeling you will get if your goal was set way too high for you and you couldn´t acheive it.

Don´t forget your new year´s resolutions! Put your list somewhere you can see it every day. A great place to put it would be on the door of your closet or even your toillet (ha ha, but seriously, if you live alone why not? ).

Motivate yourself! Of course it´s difficult to stay motivated throughout the whole year, but when it comes to very common resolutions like staying fit, the internet is a great way to get motivation from! Watch motivational videos ( I´m posting motivational-monday videos every now and then on my youtube channel so if you speak german feel free to hop by! CLICK ). You could also subscribe to inspiring blogs or instagram accounts for that little push you need to keep you going!

Write down if you been following your goals and if not, write down why! This could help motivate you or show you how to rephrase your resolution into a manageable goal!

And last but not least - drumroll please this is my favourite part - reward yourself! Think about something you would like to do or have and make sure to allow yourself to do it when you acheived everything ( or for example 60%) on your list.
